As difficult as it might be at this time, the choices you make at the beginning of a process to separate or divorce will in large part determine the way your separation or divorce turns out, what kind of relationship you have in the future and how your children adjust. The guiding principle of Collaborative Law Practice is respect and the atmosphere created encourages understanding, compassion and cooperation. The goal is to create long-lasting agreements without resorting to the courts, using, if necessary, guidance from caring and experienced collaborative professionals. Very often in the court based setting there are significant delays, exorbitant expenses and someone else is making decisions that will affect your family for years to come. The collaborative process allows clients to have control over the final outcome. I believe that Collaborative Law provides divorcing and separating couples with a far superior method of reaching a resolution than traditional litigation.
