IACP seeks to acknowledge the outstanding service, achievements, leadership, problem solving and or initiatives taken in local and regional levels across the globe, that support the Collaborative community and IACP’s mission.

To achieve its vision, mission, goals and strategies, the IACP relies on the dedication, creativity, and leadership of Collaborative professionals around the world. Much of this work is done voluntarily (unpaid), within their local and regional contexts and often outside formal IACP-led projects.

• Are you, or do you know someone in your community or region who is passionate about Collaborative Practice and who has displayed any or all of the following:
• Reflects the IACP vision mission, goals and strategies in their work
• Devotes their energy to expanding Collaborative Practice in their own communities
• Devotes time to making processes and strategies that enable Collaborative Practice to work and thrive in their culture, with their cultural values
• Their time and efforts are not fully visible or eligible for recognition
• Their efforts significantly advance the use and acceptance of collaborative practice in their community, region, or country

The intention of the Global Horizons Outstanding Achievement Award is to recognize individuals whose work has materially influenced the development and expansion of Collaborative Practice and/or process in their place, their community, region and or country.

A nominee must have ‘significantly contributed’ to the global growth of Collaborative Practice through work in their local or regional community. Significantly contributed will vary on that individuals local context, including how established Collaborative Practice is within that community and the specific challenges that nominee has addressed.

Examples of significant contribution can look very different depending on each region’s history with Collaborative Practice. They may include, for example:

• founding or growing a local practice group;
• training or mentoring other professionals;
• translating materials or offering guidance in a local language;
• adapting Collaborative Practice to a country’s legal, cultural or economic context;
• or, introducing Collaborative Practice where it did not previously exist.

There are many other examples.

CRITERIA:

• The nominee can be any type of Collaborative professional.
• The nominee MUST be nominated by 2 Collaborative professionals. At least one nominator must be an IACP member in good standing.
• Ineligible for nomination: Current IACP Board Directors and current co-chairs of the Global Horizons Council.

There are no more than 2 Global Horizons Outstanding Achievement Awards granted in any year.

The Award will be formally presented during an online WORLD CAFÉ event (a facilitated group discussion format used to share ideas in small, rotating tables) hosted annually by the Global Horizons Council. The Global Café will be on 20 May 2027.

A minimum of 2 Global Horizons Council members will review each nomination and verify the information provided on the Nomination Form and provide a brief report to the judges. 

The potential award recipients will be contacted to confirm they are willing to accept the Global Horizons Outstanding Achievement Award before any announcement is made.

Nominations are due by 8:00 AM ET on Monday, November 16.
