Profession(s)

Lawyer

I am a 1993 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. I have practiced family law for 29 years. I am the past Chair of the Oakland County Family Court Committee and am trained and certified as a Domestic Relations and General Civil Mediator. I have been a member of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals since 2009. Although I have an extensive background in civil, commercial and family law litigation, and have represented numerous clients at trial, I firmly believe that whenever possible, family law matters should be resolved through dialogue, negotiation, and collaboration, rather than through litigation.

Area(s) of Practice: Family Law (Divorce, Custody, Paternity, Parenting Time, Child Support, Spousal Support, Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements) General commercial and business litigation (contract disputes, dissolution of partnerships and closely-held companies) Probate matters (administration of estates, probate litigation, guardianship and conservatorship matters) Mediation and arbitration Collaborative Practice
License(s): Member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1993 Admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, since 1993 State of Michigan Residential Builder's License (Inactive)
