As a founding attorney of the Collaborative Family Law Assocation in St. Louis, Missouri, I am committed to the concept of problem-solving in a respectful, dignified process. Working in a collaborative setting allows family members to transition from an ending (such as a divorce) to a beginning in a more positive fashion. Parents are able to discuss child-centered issues as parents and not as parties in a lawsuit. Couples are able to plan for their financial future and maintain control over their lives. Families are at the center of the process. I also value the participation of other collaborative professionals such as family counselors, coaches and financial planners. A collaborative team enhances the family members' decision-making process.
