Financial Professional

For Jon, providing “world-class” wealth management is more than words, it’s a mission. Jon grew up in a family of financial planners and learned first-hand the impact quality planning can have on people’s lives.

While a student at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business in New Orleans, Jon decided he wanted to provide the type of financial planning and investment advice that could make a difference. Jon entered the industry in 1996, building a successful financial planning practice through Raymond James & Associates. During that time, he experienced “best-in-class” processes from Raymond James, gained a diverse set of skills and perspectives from a number of top advisors, and learned the best way to run a business.

In 2003, Jon and his mother, Laura Waller, CFP®, merged practices under her independent firm Laura Waller Advisors to form Waller & Wax Advisors, Inc. Jon focused on ways to improve practice efficiency while delivering enhanced value to clients. He built a team of professionals focused around providing high-level financial advice and superior service. Jon developed a service model that allows the advisors at Waller & Wax to act like a quarterback on each client’s team, working with the client’s attorney, CPA and other professionals to deliver individualized results.

Jon holds various licenses and registrations in financial planning, management, insurance and securities. He is actively involved in the local business and professional community through memberships in the Leadership Tampa Alumni Association and the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association Family Law and Collaborative Law Committees and the Financial Services Institute. His community activities have included membership and leadership roles in the Town & Country Volunteer Fire Rescue, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, the University of Tampa Board of Counselors and the Florida Holocaust Museum.

Area(s) of Practice: Waller & Wax takes a distinct approach to wealth management by quarterbacking a team of professionals to address your financial, retirement and life goals.
