I often tell clients that litigation is "legalized gambling." What I mean by that is often, the aspects of a case that are entirely outside of our control determine the outcome of a trial. While preparation is critical, you cannot account for the unknown: which judge you will have; will there suddenly be a global pandemic; will you be given enough time to fully complete a case? The Collaborative process is designed to remove so many of those uncertainties and empower you to make long-term decisions that are best for your family. After all, you know your life, and your children, best. I would rather assist you come to an agreeable resolution as opposed to a judge who has known your family for two days. In my collaborative work, I am committed to hearing your goals and concerns with empathy. I help you craft a path forward with the assistance of financial and mental health professionals. We work together to help you regain your agency as you transition to the next stage in your life.
