Professional ActivitiesI served as President of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois in 2016 and 2017. I currently serve on the Family Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association. I am a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Practice Professionals of Illinois, and the DuPage County Bar Association.

CommentsTheresa Beran Kulat settles cases. Working as a mediator, a Collaborative lawyer, and a neutral case facilitator, she is passionate about helping families heal. She currently services on the Family Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association. A Fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, she has held many leadership positions, including President in 2016 and 2017. Theresa received a B.A. with Honors in Economics from John Carroll University and her J.D. with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previous employers include the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Proctor & Gamble; and Ottosen Britz, Ltd. Her writing credits include: "Holistic Divorce: An Opportunity for Transformation", published in "Stress-Free Divorce," and the Collaborative Process Act chapter in "Gitlin on Divorce." She provides training and public speaking through her other company, Trinity Collaboration, Inc.
