Profession(s)

Lawyer

From the inception of collaborative family law in Ohio in 1999/2000, I have contributed professionally in whatever way I could to promote the development and use of collaborative law and of our local Central, Ohio collaborative practice organization, Central Ohio Academy of Collaborative Divorce Professionals. All of my efforts to further the development of collaborative family law in Central Ohio, and to further my own development as a trained collaborative attorney, have been for a singular purpose. This purpose is to give the consumers of family law legal services and my clients a better process to terminate a marriage and resolve the issues that are involved in terminating a marriage, than previously what has been available to the public in contested divorce court actions. For a number of reasons, collaborative law works best for the vast majority of people. With the recent passage of House Bill 461, the new Collaborative Family Law Act, passed unanimously by both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate in 201`2 (with the support of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Judicial Conference), collaborative family law is quickly becoming the process of choice for Ohio residents who are terminating a marriage. I invite you to see my credentials and further information on this web site and also at my web site: http://www.sponsellerlaw.com
