Cynthia Weiss Stein is a partner at Shemtob Draganosky Taylor, PC., a law firm practicing exclusively in the area of family law. With over thirty years of experience, Cynthia has handled a broad range of family law matters, from amicably negotiated agreements to high conflict litigation. Cynthia’s philosophy is to offer practical, solution-oriented legal advice to guide her clients through the difficult issues involved in family law matters. She works with her clients to explore their options, thinking creatively and working to obtain an outcome that meets their individual concerns and circumstances. Cynthia graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English, and obtained her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Following graduation from law school, she worked as a judicial clerk for The Superior Court of Pennsylvania, serving the Honorable Vincent A. Cirillo, President Judge. She has completed training in Family Mediation with the Montgomery County Mediation Center and training in Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice with the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Cynthia is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations, and the Family Law Sections of both, as well as several committees of the Montgomery Bar Association, including the Collaborative Law Committee, and the Diversity Committee, where she serves as a mentor. She is also a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and Collaborative Law Professionals of Southeastern Pennsylvania. In her free time, Cynthia is a devoted community volunteer, serving on boards and committees of non-profit organizations dedicated to helping people. Currently, she serves as a member of the board of directors of Mitzvah Circle Foundation, which supports individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness and serious illness. She also serves as a Vice President of Golden Slipper Camp, an overnight camp in the Poconos providing substantial scholarships for campers in need.
