I am a mediator and collaborative attorney (and "recovering" divorce trial lawyer).

"My primary goal is to help my clients get through a difficult time in their lives with the least amount of wasted time, emotional pain and unnecessary expense."

I opened my law office in 1978 and have been in solo practice ever since.

I am a Portland native, graduating from Portland State University and Lewis and Clark – Northwestern School of Law.

Rain doesn’t bother me and I still think the only “pro” sports team in town is the Trailblazers!

From my Beaverton office (just off Sunset Highway, US 26, at Cornell), I serve clients from throughout Oregon (Video/teleconference and after-hour meetings can be arranged).

I no longer do contested hearings, trials or last-minute settlements (I am a "recovering" divorce trial lawyer). Contested court proceedings can be great for lawyers, but even "winning" in court did not mean my clients’ goals were being achieved. I am convinced the “better way” is Collaborative Divorce (and its little sibling, Mediation)!
