Mental Health ProfessionalBIOGRAPHY:
I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 15 years, originally specializing in therapy with children. I worked in hospital settings in pediatrics and completed my family therapy training at McGill University. My focus shifted to relationship therapy as it became clear that a child's context, i.e. their family, needed to be included in the work. Working as a divorce coach was a natural evolution from assisting couples in their struggle to overcome differences.
I bring to my work a blend of compassionate directness so that my clients feel both supported and challenged to move forward. There is a delicate balance between being present with pain without getting lost in it. I see my role as directing my clients through this extremely difficult transition by providing psychological support and a framework for allowing collaboration and connection instead of hostility and rage. I work towards crafting with them a new co-parenting relationship where their love for their children is stronger than their hatred towards each other.
