Date and time:
June 28, 2023 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Event type:
Educational Opportunity

Professors Nicholas Bala (Queen’s Law), Rachel Birnbaum (Social Work at Kings University College - Western) and Claire Houston (Law at Western) conducted a survey to help understand the experiences of family lawyers as a result of the pandemic and the adoption of virtual technology in family court.

In this 1-hour virtual town hall, they will present the results of their survey. Members of the Family Law Ad Hoc Steering Committee will also offer their thoughts on how the outcome of the survey can help inform the discussion surrounding presumptive hearings in family courts in Ontario and access to justice.

The speakers will reserve some time to address audience questions during the presentation. Registrants are encouraged to send in their questions for the panelists in advance of the presentation upon registration or to shannon@russellalexander.com.

Registration is complimentary and all are welcome. Registrants will receive an email via Zoom upon registration with their login details for the event.

To respect confidentiality, all attendees’ identities will remain anonymous to other audience members.

*Please note that all of the content provided in the presentations is intended to provide general information on separation, divorce, and family law matters, and should not be construed as legal advice.
