Collaborative Practice and Martial Arts – two sides of the same coin? (3 hrs workshop) Theoretical input/discussion: what are the reasons for conflicts, some philosophical principles of martial art and how these principles apply in everyday life and in every day conflict situation and how can they help in conflict resolution. (about 60 – 70 min with discussion). break 15-20 min. Group and partner exercises (non-martial arts and martial arts related) to bodily experience some of the principles such as: the principle of mindfulness, the principle of giving way and others. (80 – 90 min: exercises with several discussion and reflection breaks) The workshop will be closed with a powerful teambuilding exercise. I will bring all necessary material. I only need an empty (clean) waste bin. The set up in the room: just chairs that can be moved and stacked easily after theoretical input to make room for the exercises.
