I have served on the Board of IACP as Secretary, President-elect, President and am now Past-President. I was Co-chair of the Civil Practice Committee. I have been Chair of the Advisory Board. I was Co-chair of the IACP FORUM in Boston in 2004. I have presented at every FORUM since 2003 from the first Vancouver Forum to the most recent Washington, DC Forum in 2015. I have also participated as Faculty at the IACP Institute, as part of the training team that presented the 2-day introductory interdisciplinary collaborative practice training in 2012, with Donna Smalldon and Yuval Berger. I offered an Introduction to Facilitation skills at the IACP Institute and at the Forum in San Antonio with
co-trainer Catherine Tornbom, and also gave 2 advanced workshops at the Institute in Milan, Italy in 2014. I co-created and presented the 2-day introductory interdisciplinary training again on the Gold Coast in Australia in 2015 with Anne Purcell and Lonnie Brossard.
Professional ActivitiesI volunteer to serve on IACP committees: Leadership, Training Development and Practice and am on the IACP Training Faculty. CommentsI have dedicated my practice exclusively to collaborative law as soon as I completed my training in 2000. I had already been a mediator since 1982. I am passionate about educating consumers and colleagues about collaborative law. I will go anywhere to speak about this way of resolving disputes. I am the co-founder of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and was the first President. I have been honored to be on the Board of IACP and was on the Executive Board as secretary for 2004, was president-elect and president in 2006-2007, representing IACP at the first European conference in Vienna in 2007. I was co-chair of the IACP 5th Annual Networking Forum in Boston in October of 2004. My desire is to bring high-quality training, at the introductory level, to communities that are ready to explore collaborative practice and then mentor those community leaders so that local groups will increase their capacity to provide high quality introductory trainings themselves. My hope is that collaborative practice groups will be committed to advanced learning, to always increasing their skills and, to that end, will invite senior trainers to bring their experiences, wisdom and skills to offer advanced learning opportunities.
