August 12, 2022 - 12:00am to August 13, 2022 - 11:45pm
Event type:
Conference

Join your civil collaborative law colleagues and make new friends when the leadership, members and friends of the only organization dedicated to the advancement of Civil Collaborative Law -- the Global Collaborative Law Council -- gathers for our Advanced Civil Collaborative Law Training Conference. We will spend two days in lovely Lincoln, Nebraska, where we will be hosted at the University of Nebraska College of Law. An esteemed faculty of civil collaborative law pioneers from across the country will be on hand to help you develop your collaborative skills and learn effective ways to market your advocacy. Visit our website to see the agenda and our faculty biographies HERE

While the meeting will be in person, we will offer a virtual component for those who cannot travel. Registration price will be the same for in person attendance as well as virtual attendance. We are pleased to announce we have made it as affordable as possible for you to be with us to make and strengthen connections amongst those of us striving to master this practice and to share it with our clients. We want you THERE!

If you have not had a basic civil collaborative law training yet, no worries! We will provide you with information on how you can get a virtual basic training, which is included in the registration for this advanced training event! Contact Melanie Atha for access to the basic training materials. (melatha65@gmail.com) As well, we will begin this conference with a one hour refresher course in the basics of civil collaborative practice. This training will teach how to use civil collaborative skills in resolving other legal conflicts. We will hear from business leaders who will share how they hope to resolve conflicts well. We will have training on mindfulness and appreciative inquiry, as well as some active role playing based on the successful resolution of a real-life civil dispute using a neutral expert in collaboration. We will even offer a yoga session!

Friday evening, dinner at The International Quilt Museum

$40 for dinner, cash bar for wine and beer, spouses and guests welcome!

We also plan to share social time and have lots of fun when we are not in class.
