Birdnesting: A Child-Centered Solution to Co-Parenting During Separation and Divorce

Date and time:
January 13, 2021 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Event type:
IACP Event

Successful nesting requires parents who can prioritize their children over their emotions during a life crisis. Two parents who have been or want to be actively involved in parenting can create a structured, detailed nesting agreement tailored to the needs of their particular family and circumstances. Collaborative professionals work with clients who are committed to avoiding court. These families are great candidates for nesting because they usually want to minimize conflict and protect their kids. This workshop will give you tools such as: assessing whether nesting is a good option. How to establish a schedule, how to create a budget and agreements around how nesting will be funded, various options for off-duty living arrangements, how long to nest, planning next steps, how to improve communication, co-parenting planning, and more.
