The gradual abandonment of adversarial logic through the application of collaborative practices in law is already a reality. More and more families and businesses are seeking the benefits of this affective bonding approach, enabling people to follow their lives reconciled with their stories and healthy parenting, which prioritizes and effectively cares for children and good business partnerships.

The Congress will bring together professionals from the legal, health and finance fields who will be able to learn and exchange ideas with experienced foreign professionals, as well as with their peers, paving the way for a professional performance that is in keeping with the current demands of our society, reflecting on the importance of the Dialogue as a tool, forming and expanding the professional contact network in Brazil and in the world.

IBPC brings Brazilian experienced professionals, Nancy Cameron, Yuval Berger and Lisa Alexander to Brazil to share their experiences with Brazilian professionals. The Congress will also be attended by the President of the International Academy of Collaborative Practices - IACP, Chris Farish and its Executive Director, Anne Tamar-Mattis, a partner institution of the Brazilian Institute of Collaborative Practices - IBPC, enabling direct contact between Brazilian professionals and the association that brings together collaborative professionals around the world.

Theme: Deepening the dialogue: protagonism and multidisciplinarity. The two days of lectures will be divided into panels with Brazilian and foreign guests working with the objective of:

• Reflect on the methodology of Collaborative Practices, specifically regarding the importance of dialogue as a tool, both with clients and among professionals in the various disciplines;

• Disseminate Collaborative Practices as an interdisciplinary intervention, indicated to work with the multifactoriality of interpersonal and / or family and business conflicts;

• To form and connect a network of professionals, expanding and consolidating the practice at the national level, in contact with the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.  

Goal: To gather a two days meeting dealing with conflict management from the legal area (lawyers, defenders, magistrates, prosecutors, teachers), health care (psychologists, psychoanalysts, therapists, social workers) and the financial area (financial analysts, accountants), as well as mediators, students, and other professionals who deal with conflicting families and businesses, and will be able to learn and exchange ideas with experienced Canadian professionals, Nancy Cameron, Yuval Berger and Lisa Alexandre, as well as with peers who have been working with Collaborative Practices since 2014.

Target Audience: Lawyers, public defenders, magistrates, prosecutors, teachers, mental health (psychologists, psychoanalysts, therapists, social workers), finance (financial analysts, economists, accountants), students, mediators, and other professionals who deal with management of conflicts.
