I am pleased to welcome you all to the 22nd IACP Annual Networking and Education Forum!  This has been a year of challenges, adaptation, and change for all of us.  After last year’s virtual Forum, I am excited to think about coming together for an in-person event in October this year, Lighting the Way Together.  At the same time, we must recognize that not all in our community are yet able to travel.  Therefore we are building on our experience from last year to offer a virtual program, Beacon when We’re Apart, that will bring a taste of Forum to you including speakers from every continent except Antarctica. This hybrid approach has been carefully planned by our board, staff, and planning committee to maximize the opportunities for connection, learning, and sharing for our whole community.

  • The in person ticket inclused all virtual Forum activities. The virtual presentations will be recorded and we will have a room set up at Forum for people to watch the virtual workshops all together, or you can log in from your computer in your hotel room! Everyone who buys a Forum ticket (in person or virtual) will get the virtual workshop recordings sent to them.

Our Pre-Forum Institutes and workshops are always a draw.  But Forum attendees are also enthusiastic about the opportunities for networking, socializing, and pure fun at this unique event.  You’ll be able to log on any time of day or night to meet colleagues around the world, join our famous Saturday dance party, and hear some amazing Plenary speakers including this year’s keynote, Rev. Nontombi Naomi Tutu, daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who will be joining us via Zoom from South Africa.

Whether you attend online or in-person, Forum is always an extraordinary event, the largest gathering of Collaborative professionals anywhere in the world.  It is a chance to learn from world-class trainers, a time to break out of our local bubbles and learn from peers in other places, and a place to build life-long friendships with like-minded colleagues.  We work hard and we play hard, and this year in particular we have a lot of catching up to do!  If you have never attended a Forum, I urge you to give it a try – once you do, you’ll be hooked!
