This webinar will include a panel discussion by members of the IACP Standards and Ethics Committee representing each discipline of a Professional Team. They will discuss differences that may arise in professional ethics relative to their roles. In addition, they will cover how to provide safety to “our” clients through the Collaborative process, while considering ethical differences. They invite questions for submission prior to the webinar to allow for an engaging conversation.

Presenters:  Standards and Ethics Committee Chair, Melissa Sulkowski, Marta Alfonso, Ellene Lammers and Jeff Wasserman. 

             

Melissa Sulkowski is an IACP board member who has dedicated her life's work to the health and wellbeing of relationships.  Her passion is centered on empowering individuals to trust what they need, while creating the conditions for parents and children to thrive.                                                    

Marta Alfonso is a Partner at BDO, with a background in litigation consulting, forensic accounting, insolvency and bankruptcy, turnarounds, financial management, and collaborative family law. She offers extensive financial experience and a deep understanding of critical financial litigation issues as both an accountant and attorney. She is Past President of the Collaborative Family Law Institute, the South Florida Practice Group, and has served as Treasurer of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Ellene Lammers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in discernment counseling, collaborative divorce coaching, and divorce mediation. In addition to teaching communication skills to parents and children, she also serves as a Social Work Field Instructor, Coach, and Faculty member where she teaches collaborative skills to mental health professionals, financial neutrals, and attorneys. Ellene serves on the Board of Directors for the Mediation Council of Illinois and facilitates a monthly practice group for Collaborative Divorce Illinois. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Collaborative Divorce Illinois (CDI), the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), and the Mediation Council of Illinois.

Jeff Wasserman is an Accredited Collaborative Professional under Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals (FACP). After practicing for more than 45 years, Jeff is currently Of Counsel at Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann and is transitioning to represent clients using the Collaborative Law Process and to train professionals in Collaborative Law. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors and is co-chair of the fundraising committee of FACP. He actively participated in the establishment of the Ethics and Standards of Practice for the FACP and has lectured on the subject at various trainings and at the 2020 FACP Conference. He also a Board member of the local South Palm Beach County Collaborative Group.
