| General Comments |
My collaborative practice is informed by 31 years as a mediator and 27 years of experience as a collaborative attorney, counselor, facilitator, financial neutral and business development professional. I serve businesses, individuals and families in achieving win-win outcomes in civil, business development, family, divorce and Eldercare matters.
I help clients and their attorneys create:
• Better outcomes based on fully informed decisions
• Mutually rewarding agreements
• Sustainable out-of-court settlements
• Win-Win financial results.
After two years working in civil trial and motion parts as personal legal assistant to NY Judge Bruce McM. Wright, I took two years of high-conflict mediation training with New York City-based Institute for Mediation & Conflict Resolution.
I served for two years as an IMCR assistant trainer and mediated criminal cross complaints in New York City.
I received my JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and was admitted to practice law in New York in 1983.
Collaborative Business Development and Mediation
As a Collaborative Process Facilitator, Mediator, Business and Venture Development Specialist I assist established and emerging companies and nonprofit and government organizations in building business value and financial results.
In the 1980's, I served as a principal and Chief Operating Officer of a seven-division New York venture development firm. Our corporate business development clients were entering into strategic alliance and joint venture relationships and needed legal processes and structures more appropriate to prevent conflicts, better manage risks and maximize profits.
Integrating interest- and needs-based mediation, facilitation and collaborative negotiation skills, I developed collaborative co-venture support, co-venture and conflict prevention agreements and dispute resolution processes in service of clients' business needs.
Interdisciplinary collaborative process facilitation, neutral financial analysis and mediation support produces more client value, better communication and helps clients respond to a rapidly changing business and economic climate.
Confidential decision-support from collaboratively trained financial neutrals, facilitators and legal counsel, protects trade secrets, builds communication, addresses real needs and interests and mediates differences in negotiating sustainable long-term agreements.
Collaborative Process helps decision-makers with bottom-line responsibilities form, turning around, launch and grow ever more functional profit-critical business relationships.
Divorce, Eldercare and Estate Planning Matters
I serve as a mediator and financial neutral helping families make life changing transitions.
As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, I assist families considering a divorce gather financial information and records and develop perspective on financial options for settlements that work.
I can help you and your family gather information necessary to prepare for estate planning or the supportive care and the highest quality of life for an Elder or Adults with Disabilities.
