| General Comments |
I have provided services for individuals in life crisis since 1963, focusing primarily on restoring a quality of life for individuals grappling with matters related to separation, loss, and grief. This work has included loss of relationship, vocation, and property, physical disabilities, end-of-life planning and decision-making, and anticipated death as well as losses resulting from trauma or acts of violence.
It has been my experience and observation that where there is a dispute, individuals will perceive an immanent danger of loss, whether imagined or actual or both. Our nature to defend our self against loss is a natural biological and neurological function for survival that often defies logic.
Collaborative Practice is the only legal means for dispute resolution I know in which integrity, sensitivity and consideration is given to the full spectrum of needs that confront individuals at such a time of vulnerability.
