For the last ten years, I have been working with clients who are struggling with marriage, separation and divorce. I have been a Parenting Coordinator for parents who are suffering high conflict in their divorce during the last eight years, and I have provided services as a Collaborative Mental Health Expert - both Coach and Child Specialist - during the last four years. I have worked on more than 60 Collaborative cases at this point, with the vast majority coming to successful resolution. My background in helping people develop effective communication skills, and in working with children and families has helped make my role on Collaborative teams a rich and rewarding experience. I am a former President of the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals (DCACP), and currently serve the Board of DCACP as Education Committee Chair. I belong to the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia (CPNV) as well. I am a founding member of the Collaborative Professionals Training Institute (CPTI), a tri-state faculty of professionals who offer basic and advanced trainings throughout the country.

| General Comments |
| I have been working with attorneys, financial neutrals, and other mental health experts throughout the tri-state area (VA, MD and DC) over the last four years. I have participated in over 60 cases as of April, 2010, and have served both as a Divorce Coach and a Child Specialist. I have worked both as a sole Mental Health Neutral on several teams, and as one of two Divorce Coaches on many other teams. I find the Collaborative model to be a creative, inspiring, supportive, and effective way to help people move through the challenging process of divorce for a wide variety of clients and situations. I also find that Collaborative teams are uniquely able to listen to the voices of the children in each family, and to give those children a chance to be heard. Children I have worked with during the very difficult time of their parents' divorce have expressed relief that they are able to talk about the experiences they are having with people who can help their parents help them. |
