I have practiced law since 1976, and have represented clients in hundreds of divorce cases. My focus is to help my client make his or her best agreement, and to resolve the issues in his or her case in the most positive and respectful manner possible. Collaborative divorce is a very attractive alternative for those who want to resolve their issues without resorting to litigation, but are more comfortable having the support of an attorney who represents them in the process.

| General Comments |
I became interested in Collaborative Divorce Practice in 2002 after attending my first collaborative training. I had been looking for an alternative to litigation to resolve divorce cases, because litigation is hard on clients (and attorneys), is expensive, and frequently leaves even the 'winner' dissatisfied.
Collaborative practice is exciting to me because I can work with the parties, the other lawyer, and the other collaborative professionals to reach solutions that are creative and that meet the needs of the parties and their children. In the collaborative setting we have several minds working on the problems, and together we can reach agreements that might not be possible in a litigated case. |
